THE CORE OF ALL WE DO

PBIS is predicated on the belief that schools can be positive, enjoyable places to teach and learn for all students when an appropriate behavioral climate has been created. Establishing such a climate involves working with systems to support teachers, working with teachers to practice effective prevention and response strategies and working with data to make effective decisions and accurately gauge progress.

PBIS has been implemented in over 150 schools across the New England area since 2002. Utilizing PBIS-apps through the University of Oregon, schools have been able to track student data, and make informed decisions when implementing student services and supports.

For additional information please visit the PBIS website; information will be posted in the News & Updates section of this website periodically.

Mental Health and Schools Together- NH

MAST-NH is a grant-funded initiative to create a model of seamless mental health care for children and their families. School personnel in five regions of the state have formed collaborative efforts with public and private agencies to share best practices, conduct cross-training and develop tools and protocols for cultivating good mental health and diagnosing and treating mental illness.

MAST
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

MTSS is defined as "the practice of providing high-quality instruction and interventions matched to student need, monitoring progress frequently to make decisions about changes in instruction or goals, and applying child response data to important educational decisions" (Batsche et al., 2005).

MTSS is a process of systematically documenting the performance of students as evidence of the need for additional services after making changes in classroom instruction. MTSS promises to change the way schools support students with learning and behavior problems by systematically delivering a range of interventions based on demonstrated levels of need.

MTSS
Life Space Crisis Intervention

LSCI is a therapeutic, verbal strategy for turning crisis situations into learning opportunities for children and youth with chronic patterns of self-defeating behaviors.

LSCI provides educators, counselors, youth workers, parents, and other caring adults with a roadmap through conflict to desired outcomes, using problems as an opportunity to teach and create positive relationships with youth.

LSCI
Fee For Service

NH CEBIS also offers a wide range of fee-for-service training and consulting options, including

  • centralized workshops open to the public,
